Position Job Title: People Associate

Position Summary:

The People Associate will help drive the success of the People Department by assisting with biweekly payroll, benefits administration and audit, employee documentation and communication, on-boarding, and recruiting. The People Associate reports to the People Director and provides support to both the People Director and the Payroll & Benefits Manager.

Job Duties:

Payroll:

  • Manage the Time & Attendance system within ADP WorkforceNow for biweekly payroll
  • Review and audit employee information within ADP WorkforceNow for accuracy and required approvals
  • Process supplemental payrolls and manual checks as needed
  • Provide payroll back-up support to the Payroll Manager
  • Communication with ADP on questions and support tickets

Benefits:

  • 401k administration including deferral changes and loans
  • Track new enrollments and changes to ensure that the appropriate benefits are put in place for each employee.

Recruiting & Onboarding:

  • Manage the DocuSign approval process for requisitions 
  • Post approved requisitions
  • Create Candidate Interview Packets and New Hire Packets
  • Background Check Administration
  • New Hire Gifts, Onboarding Plans, Communication with Candidates and Managers including interview scheduling
  • Resume review and candidate phone screens as needed
  • Conduct Weekly Orientation with New Hires

Employee Support:

  • Manage DocuSign approvals for People Action Forms (PAFs)
  • Employment verifications
  • Electronic Filing
  • Tracking and Managing Commission Agreements for Sales & Design
  • Respond immediately to all employee inquiries via email and phone

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with other special projects, reports and analyses as directed by management. 
  • Administrative support as needed to the People Team.

Position Qualifications

Education

  • Undergraduate Bachelor’s degree preferred

Credentials/Certifications

  • HR Certifications a plus but not required

Experience

  • At least two years of HR support experience preferably with exposure to payroll, benefits, recruiting and onboarding.
  • Experience with ADP WorkforceNow preferred.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to manage confidential information in a professional and discreet manner.
  • Must be customer focused and able to provide assistance and guidance to employees in a professional and caring manner.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and an ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Word & Excel 
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Maintain a positive attitude within all facets of the Company.
  • Good judgment in handling multiple priorities and open-ended tasks while keeping management apprised as to issues and status.
