Position Summary
The New Home Co. Internship Program is designed to provide hands-on experience in the dynamic field of New Home Design and Marketing. The Marketing Intern will have the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of New Home marketing strategies and apply those skills to specific tasks and projects.
During this internship, the Marketing Intern will analyze market trends and competitor positioning, contribute to team projects, and gain a foundational understanding of homebuilding marketing and design. This role provides valuable exposure to the creative aspects of the business, allowing the intern to gain insight into how digital marketing integrates within the homebuilding industry.
Job Duties:
- General & Administrative Duties:
- Support the marketing team in developing at least two social media or digital marketing campaigns, including content creation, scheduling and performance tracking.
- Learn and utilize HubSpot tools to support marketing initiatives, track lead generation and analyze campaign effectiveness.
- Participate in model home walk throughs to understand merchandising strategies and customer experience
- Shadowing/Meeting Attendance:
- Attend marketing strategy meetings, leadership presentations and design reviews.
- Collaborate with finance and design teams to understand how different departments contribute to successful projects.
- Opportunity to network with professionals in the field by attending BIA, industry, and company events.
- Special Projects:
- The Final Internship Project is an opportunity for the intern to showcase the skills, knowledge, and insights they have gained throughout the program. This project will be presented to supervisors and team members, serving as both a reflection of the intern's journey and a valuable overview of their contributions to the organization.

- Gain valuable experience in the residential construction and real estate industries.
- Attend workshops designed to build professional development and career readiness.
- Participate in executive meetings to learn from senior leadership and gain insight into high-level business strategy.
- Network with professionals in the homebuilding and real estate sectors.
Education
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Interior Design, Graphic Design or a related field.
- Detail-oriented, organized and follows tasks through to completion.
- Able to manage time wisely and work within deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible, able to anticipate, prioritize and multi-task.
- Must be computer literate, with intermediate experience in Windows, Word, and Excel
- Basic understanding of marketing concepts, branding and social media platforms.
- Interest in home design, model merchandising, and visual storytelling
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
- Capable of working independently and as part of a small team.
Physical Requirements:
Requires the ability to hear, type and talk in addition to sitting 100% of the time. The primary work location is a corporate office with low to moderate noise levels.
