Position Job Title: Escrow Coordinator
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Job Location: Office

Position Summary   
Provide administrative support to the Escrow Department and Director of Escrow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Contract Review & Approvals
  • Escrow related mail
  • Communication and coordination with other departments to include Accounts Payable and Project Management
  • Completing documents: IDR's, Grant Deeds Release documents
  • Tracking and coding and invoices associated with Home Owner Associations
  • Reviewing, logging, scanning, and distributing Deposits
  • Escrow file set ups & contract breakdown and filing
  • Check requests
  • Complete routine residential builder escrow transactions
  • Prepare escrow instructions and amendments
  • Deposit escrow funds, prepare disbursements and balance all escrow related accounts. 
  • Perform general office functions and other duties as assigned. 
  • Creating and maintaining buyer lot files
  • Provide bi-weekly backup support/coverage for receptionist
Managerial Responsibility:
This position does not supervise other employees.

Position Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience):
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • California Notary Commission/Certificate to conduct closings
  • Minimum 5 years experience in an administrative role; escrow experience highly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite – Excel experience required
  • Basic accounting and mathematical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to understand and perform verbal and written instructions.
  • Recognize and solve problems independently.

Base Salary: The estimated annual compensation for this position is between $65,000 to $75,000 per year. Base Salary is paid bi-weekly, every other Friday.

Benefits: Total Compensation for this role includes a base salary and competitive commission structure. Physical Requirements
Requires the ability to bend, lift 1-25 pounds, reach, see in full color vision, stand, sit, walk, walk on uneven terrain (at times), hear, type and talk. The primary work location is a sales office with low to moderate noise level. The secondary work location is any site under construction which is moderate to high noise level. Secondary location may require working in heat, cold, or inclement weather. May have exposure to hazardous materials and require personal protective equipment such as eye, respiratory and hearing protection, wearing hard hat and steel toe boots.
